Dupont Hospital was named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Thompson Reuters in 2012, in addition to making the Becker's Hospital Review list of "100 Great Community Hospitals." This Lutheran Health Network member is a 131-bed facility that has always focused on providing a five-star experience for its guests. Dupont's key areas of service include inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, emergency services and radiology. It is also home to specialized centers for sleep and breast health. The hospital has an accredited chest pain center. Dupont offers a growing robotic surgery program that features the da Vinci Si system and the region's only OB Stat program that ensures onsite coverage 24/7 from an obstetrician and support team so the emergent needs of mom and baby are immediately addressed before or after birth.
Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran's areas of specialized care include northern Indiana's only heart and kidney transplant programs, a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence®, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center. Lutheran's trailblazing history of heart care is also evident through its accreditations as a heart failure institute and chest pain center. It has also achieved advanced certification from The Joint Commission for ventricular assist devices. Lutheran Children's Hospital teams with more than 75 pediatricians practicing in 27 areas of pediatric specialty in an environment filled with imagination and color. Lutheran Hospital is committed to providing the highest level of expertise and technology locally so patients don't have to travel hours from home to receive the care they deserve.
St. Joseph Hospital, a member of the Lutheran Health Network, is a 191-bed facility dedicated to meeting the ever-changing needs of neighborhoods in and around the heart of Fort Wayne. Building on a renewed emphasis from the community to make downtown a prime location to live and work, St. Joe continues to lead the charge by offering a growing list of advanced technologies provided with compassionate care. Its medical staff consists of more than 500 physicians. Specialties available at St. Joe, including cardiovascular and orthopedic surgery, neonatal intensive care and emergency medicine, are delivered by physicians from medical groups that also serve sister LHN hospitals. St. Joe provides unsurpassed care for regional patients in the areas of senior health services, hyperbaric medicine and wound care. The St. Joseph Regional Burn Center is the region's only verified burn center and one of only three in the state. The burn center is verified by the American College of Surgeons and the American Burn Association, a rare and elite distinction for a non-university program. It is the only burn center in Indiana to be verified in adult and pediatric burn care. St. Joe is also home to a transitional care unit that is licensed by the state and certified by Medicare to provided skilled nursing. St. Joseph Behavioral Health offers inpatient and outpatient services for the adult and geriatric population. An advanced cardiac catheterization lab also supports an accredited chest pain center.
The Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network is one of only a few hospitals in the United States devoted strictly to orthopedic care. The Orthopedic Hospital is a member of the Lutheran Health Network and teams with physicians from Fort Wayne Orthopedics who have partial ownership of the facility helping it ensure top-quality patient care. Total joint replacements, spine operations, sports-related injuries and chronic pain are just a few of the treatment options performed and/or treated by the hospital's highly skilled and experienced physicians and staff. Built to meet the unique needs of this patient population, The Orthopedic Hospital is a modern, 39-bed facility featuring all-private patient rooms. To ensure a comfortable stay, each inpatient room includes: room service, flat-panel televisions, beds specifically designed for orthopedic patient care, spacious bathrooms built for safety with roll-in showers and hand-held shower heads, a dedicated "family" area for visitor comfort and three separate lighting zones to minimize patient discomfort.
As the region's only free-standing facility dedicated solely to rehabilitation, the 36-bed Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Wayne has helped thousands of patients regain independence despite serious illness or injury since 1993. The Rehab Hospital, a Lutheran Health Network member, cares for patients 14 and older who have a variety of diagnoses and conditions. The Rehab Hospital offers a barrier-free interior and exterior, a spacious therapy gym, a warm water therapeutic pool, an outdoor mobility courtyard, activities of daily living areas and a transitional living apartment. The Rehab Hospital recently earned its fourth consecutive three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for its inpatient rehabilitation program. Services included in the CARF accreditation include care provided to adults and adolescents and stroke specialty. The facility is the first inpatient rehab provider in northeastern Indiana to obtain CARF accreditation in stroke specialty. Rehab Hospital services also include comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation, case management and neuropsychological care, nutritional counseling, occupational therapy, orthotics/prosthetics, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and speech therapy.
The RediMed family includes urgent care clinics, physical therapy clinics and occupational medicine via Business Health Services. When injury or illness strikes, RediMed's board-certified physicians offer prompt and professional care for fractures, sprains, cuts and lacerations, rashes, sore throats, fever, cold or flu symptoms, allergies and other non-life-threatening health concerns. With convenient hours and locations, RediMed clinics have lab and X-ray services on site to streamline the urgent care process. RediMed Physical Therapy helps many northeastern Indiana residents recover from personal and work-related orthopedic injuries. And Business Health Services helps companies protect and enhance their employee's health through wellness and prevention programs.
Kosciusko Community Hospital is located in Warsaw, Ind., and is centrally located between Fort Wayne, Ind., and Chicago. This 72-bed facility is a member of the Lutheran Health Network and has achieved 100 Top Hospital status from Thomason Reuters as recently as 2011. KCH offers a newly renovated 14-bed intensive care unit and an 18-bed emergency department. Services include cardiology, women's services, oncology, orthopedic surgery, diagnostic services, wellness and weight management, wound care, ophthalmology, obstetrics, inpatient and outpatient surgery, occupational health, urgent care, ENT clinics and rehabilitation services.
Dukes Memorial Hospital, a member of the Lutheran Health Network, is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Peru, Ind., 60 miles southwest of Fort Wayne, Ind., and approximately 70 miles north of Indianapolis. Dukes is accredited by The Joint Commission and provides a full complement of ancillary services similar to an acute care facility. The hospital has an accredited chest pain center and offers a wide range of services including a 24-hour emergency department, inpatient and outpatient surgery, outpatient clinics, a sleep lab, a full-service laboratory, obstetrical services, and diagnostics including MRI, CT, nuclear medicine and digital mammography. Dukes also provides rehabilitation and cardiac rehabilitation services.
Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton, Ind., is located just 30 minutes south of Fort Wayne, Ind. This 79-bed acute care facility is a member of the Lutheran Health Network. Bluffton Regional provides medical, surgical and pediatric care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care, continuing care, emergency services, business health services, rehabilitation services and a full range of digital diagnostic services. All inpatient areas of the facility have had full renovations including updated infrastructure and treatments. The most recent renovation at BRMC involved a $3 million investment to complete The Women's Center, the hospital's obstetrical services unit that can accommodate up to 12 newborns. Surgeons find the equipment they need as well as an excellent nursing staff both within the OR and in all of the patient units. Our unique multispecialty physician history lends a tertiary feel to the facility with all the comforts and conveniences of a hometown hospital.
